Maharashtra Rain Update: Rain showers will occur at ‘this’ place in the state today

Mumbai : Although the rains have started their return journey across the country, in some parts of the state, the rains are getting stronger. Heavy rain has been falling in some parts of the country for the past week. A flood-like situation has also arisen in Bihar. In Maharashtra, however, there is a clear picture of rains for some days.

Meanwhile, the meteorological department has predicted that heavy rain will fall in nine states of the country including Maharashtra today. Rain is likely at isolated places in Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri, Raigad, Kolhapur, Sangli, Solapur, Satara districts of the state. Apart from this, there will be rain at some places in Pune, Nagar, Raigad, Dhule, Dharashiv and Latur districts. It is predicted that there will be cloudy weather in other areas and chances of rain will remain. While Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura have been warned of heavy rain with lightning and thunder.

October to December forecasts announced
South India receives maximum rainfall during the northeast monsoon (northeast monsoon) and the post-monsoon season (October to December). The weather department has predicted more than 112 percent chance of rain in South India this season. The Meteorological Department has said that Maharashtra is also likely to receive more than average rainfall during this period.

At the end of September, the country received 934.8 mm of rain (8 takoyo more), this season monsoon enters the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on May 12 and reaches Kerala on May 30. Monsoon entered Maharashtra on June 6, advancing from the Jarbi Sea. After that on 23rd June Monsoon covered Maharashtra. So, on 2nd July, Monsoon covered the entire country.

After the arrival of monsoon, the distribution of rainfall in the state is seen to be uneven. The dam in Kushi of Sahyadri overflowed this year. All the dams in the state have accumulated 87 percent water, Koyna, Ujani and Jayakwadi dams have 100 percent water storage, and all the big dams have accumulated satisfactory water this year.
