This crisis is at such a critical stage that currently the systems have started calling meetings. *According to the available information, the review meeting of the state-level infectious disease prevention and control committee, which was reconstituted for preventive and control effective measures of insect and animal diseases in the state, was held on Wednesday. On this occasion, an important discussion was held on the outbreak of epidemic diseases and similar situations in the state. *Don’t create fear among the citizens…*The responsibility of public awareness has been entrusted to the Health Department by creating vigilance among the citizens regarding the disease and not creating an atmosphere of fear among them. Not only this, additional chief secretary of the state Milind Mhaiskar also advised to be vigilant by taking care of health during the festive days and the upcoming assembly elections. * Why did epidemics spread? * The main reason for the increase in epidemics due to increasing industrialization, urbanization and consequent changes in the state was revealed in this high-level meeting. Not only Corona, but Cold, Dengue, Jaundice, Cholera, Influenza A, Cholera, Typhoid, Acute Gastroenteritis, Scrub Typhus, Hepatitis “A”, “E”, Leptospirosis JE, Chandipura and Zika are currently raising their heads. Apart from that old epidemics like measles, mumps, diphtheria, tetanus, polio, rabies, perdusis are also adding to the crisis, and on the same lines instructions have been issued to the sub-divisions in the state health department to keep the situation under control.
