Macron, Al-Falih attend Paris meeting of business leaders to boost Saudi-French investments

PARIS — French President Emmanuel Macron held on Saturday an expanded discussion session with a group of Saudi and French business leaders with the aim of developing and expanding mutual investments between the two countries. The meeting was held in the presence of the visiting Saudi Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid Al-Falih.

Al-Falih said on his X account that he participated in a workshop for the Global Green Neighborhood Initiative, and also held a meeting with CEOs of a number of major French companies, with the aim of stimulating and developing joint investments.

Al-Falih also met with the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot, who in turn hosted a reception for senior executives of the Saudi and French companies.

Al-Falih, along with Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah, attended on Friday the second meeting of the Saudi-French Ministerial Committee for the Development of AlUla. The meeting reviewed the progress and achievements made by the Royal Commission for AlUla, with the aim of making this unique site a destination for global investments in the fields of tourism and cultural heritage.

The meeting underlined its commitment to work together to promote the bilateral partnership for AlUla to an even higher level. The committee members of the two governments discussed the major ongoing and future projects for Saudi-French cooperation in AlUla.
