Honored with the auspicious hand of the President
Panvel (Suresh Sapre): National President of Koli Federation and Hon. MLA Rameshdada Patil was felicitated by His Excellency the President of the country Draupathi Murmu by presenting the Maharashtra Legislative Council “Outstanding Parliamentarian” award for the year 2023-24. The award distribution ceremony was held at Vidhan Bhavan.
The Outstanding Parliamentarian Award is presented by the Commonwealth Parliamentary Board, Maharashtra Branch of the Maharashtra Legislature for overall contribution to the Legislative Assembly. The relevant public representatives are recommended for this award by the expert committee appointed for these awards after checking all aspects such as regular participation in the work of the legislature, knowledge of parliamentary traditions, etiquette, strict adherence to the rules of the legislature, attendance, skill used in presenting questions and topics in the legislature, oratorical style, parliamentary speeches.
On behalf of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Mr. MLA Rameshdada Patil was elected to the Legislative Council unopposed in the year 2018 with the blessings of the then Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Hon. After being elected as an MLA, Patil tried to solve the problems of tribal Koli and fishermen community under the guidance of all the senior leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party and by solving many problems, he got justice for the Koli brothers. The issue of tribal spiders and fishermen community was raised in the Legislative Council hall with great enthusiasm and drew the attention of the government to these issues. While raising the issues of the Koli brothers and all the poor, exploited and oppressed people of the state in the session of the legislature, he has brought justice to all sections of the society by using various parliamentary weapons. Since he has the ability to prioritize the problems of tribal Koli and fishermen brothers and solve them in every session, he has come to be known as the leader of the Koli community in the whole of Maharashtra in the very first term of the MLA. Today truly Hon. Feelings are coming from all the Koli community that this is the honor of MLA Rameshdada Patil’s honest work towards the Koli community.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Amdar Patil said that this honor is not for me personally but for all the tribal Koli and fishermen brothers of Maharashtra and he expressed his feelings that this moment is very important for me as the award was given to me by the auspicious hand of the President of the country. He also thanked the Commonwealth Parliamentary Board and Selection Committee for selecting him for this award.
