The IndiGo company has stopped the Kolhapur-Tirupati flight service from Friday citing insufficient number of passengers. However, due to the insistence of the aviation authorities and passengers regarding this service, the company has decided to operate the Kolhapur-Hyderabad flight service up to Tirupati. This service will start today from Saturday.
A large number of devotees visit Tirupati Balaji from Kolhapur. Therefore Kolhapur-Tirupati flight service was started. The response to this service was also good. However, the company had informed the airport administration that the service would be stopped from December 15, saying that the number of passengers was low.
On this, the aviation authority requested them to continue the Tirupati service via Hyderabad. Airport Authority Director Anil Shinde informed that the IndiGo company has agreed to this demand and Kolhapur-Hyderabad-Tirupati flight service will be started today from Saturday. The aircraft with a capacity of 75 passengers will now fly to Tirupati with a stopover in Hyderabad.
