Kolhapur district team won the state level wrestling tournament held at Ratnagiri

no Kolhapur district team won the state level Kumar championship wrestling tournament sponsored by Uday Samant. The tournament was held at Shivaji Stadium in Ratnagiri. 45 teams from across the state participated in this tournament.

The 44th Kumar State level tournament was organized by Ratnagiri District Wrestling Association on 20th and 21st January at Ratnagiri with the approval of Maharashtra State Kustigir Parishad. 450 contestants from across the state had entered Ratnagiri for this competition. The tournament was inaugurated on Saturday 20th January by the member of Sindhuratna Committee and Vice President of State Cricket Association Kiran alias Bhaiyya Samant by lighting the lamp and worshiping the arena. After the inauguration ceremony, Ratnagirikars experienced the thrill of state level Kumar championship wrestling tournament for two consecutive days. Kolhapur district team became the winner and Pune city team became the runner-up in this tournament which was full of innings and counter-innings.

Sarjerao Shinde, Sambhaji Varute, Suresh Patil, Sampat Salunkhe, Maruti Adkar, Subhash Kase, Vasant Patil, Vinayak Gadve, Arjunveer Kaka Pawar, Lalit Landge, Mr. Tekulwar, Bankat Yadav, Navnath Dhamal of the State Wrestling Association were present during the competition. Bhai Vilankar, Working President Chandrasekhar Kelkar, Working President Sadanand Joshi, Vice President Santosh Kadam, Amit Vilankar, Anand Tapekar, Ankush Kamble, Yogesh Harcherkar, Fiyaz Khatib, Raj Neverekar, Ananda Sangar etc. made efforts to make this competition a success.
