Khed: Peacock killed in Kashedi?

Khed: Villagers Deepak Dange and Abhijit Darekar have alleged that the peacock was hunted by unknown persons at Kashedi in the taluk.

This incident happened two days ago in Kashedi, where unknown hunters killed a peacock. While giving information, Deepak Dange of this village said, we never used to avoid the peacocks that were hanging on the trees in the field. However, Abhijit Darekar said that since the last two days the peacock has disappeared and its feathers have fallen in large numbers, it must have been killed by an unknown hunter. Peacock is our deity. However, this peacock has been killed by an unknown person. The villagers have demanded an inquiry by the forest department.
