the village : Deoghar Sonde Gram Panchayat of taluka is carrying out various activities under Majhi Vasundhara Abhiyan and after creating public awareness among the villagers, it has moved ahead to make the village ‘garbage free’ under Swachh Abhiyan. Instructions are being given to the villagers to properly dispose of the household waste while making them aware of the importance of cleanliness. Strict adherence to these instructions is being emphasized by the villagers.
Although the Deoghar-Sonde Gram Panchayat has secured the second position in the Konkan Division in the Majhi Vasundhara campaign, emphasis is being placed on carrying out various activities not only as a competition but also to maintain the health of the citizens in the village by maintaining sufficient cleanliness. The Gram Panchayat, which celebrated a pollution-free Diwali, is now gearing up to make the entire village garbage-free under the Swachh Survekshan Abhiyan. Under the guidance of Gram Panchayat members including Sarpanch Sunil More, Upasarpanch Namdev Sondkar, Gram Sevak Deepak Kadam, emphasis is being placed on effective implementation of clean survey campaign. A rally is also being held to create awareness among the villagers. Villagers are actively participating in this rally. Gram sevak Deepak Kadam is appealing to the villagers to give utmost support to the Gram Panchayat’s activities by emphasizing the importance of cleanliness.
