Sawantwadi, D-15:– Our Sindhudurg is a mine of wisdom and talent. Many children who studied in the red soil of this Konkan are today hoisting the flag of Konkan in every corner of the world with the strength of their intelligence. Of course, those whose parents were in a good financial position sent their children to cities like Pune, Bangalore, Mumbai for higher education, and some even abroad, but there are many boys and girls with such great intelligence that they cannot pursue further education because of the lack of higher education facilities at the local level. Many parents and students are also mentioning this mainly while walking in the villages of Sawantwadi constituency and listening to the problems of the people.

Some of the private educational institutions which have been functioning for the past few years cannot afford to pay the exorbitant fees. Children of rich people can get admission in such educational institutions. Then in such a situation, don’t the children of farmers, laborers, poor people want to learnContinuously for the last twelve years, many boys and girls from this Sawantwadi constituency in Konkan appear in the merit list in the secondary and higher secondary examinations. These are the children of rural areas. Why not those who have been working as a public representative for the last fifteen years and as a minister for seven and a half years were able to establish a government educational institution. Even a simple kindergarten could not initiate this. On the other hand, some of the old and well-known congregations which had been brought into the name of some old and quality education institutions with dedicated spirit made the condition of those schools worse by making them political shelters.
