When the car reached Humbarath on Thursday morning, Praveen Shetty lost control of the car and hit the divider on the driver's side. The collision was so strong that the car stopped after hitting the divider towards Mumbai. The engine of the car reached the seat next to the driver. The front part of the car also broke. Meanwhile, highway policeman Ashish Jadhav and other passengers passing by that way took the injured out of the car and informed the Kankavli police and traffic police about the incident.

Earlier, the injured were admitted to Kankavli Upazila Hospital in a private vehicle. Then Kankavli Police Inspector Amit Yadav, Col. Kiran Methe, Bhushan Sutar, Traffic Police Constable Vinod Chavan, Highway Police Savkar Vavre, Dutta Kamble etc. entered the spot. Nearby citizens also reached the spot. Besides, daughter Arvi's right leg was broken, while Siddhesh Satale's left shoulder and leg and right eye were seriously injured, medical officials said. Due to the oil spilling on the road during the accident, soil was poured over the oil so that the car would not slip in the oil and cause an accident again. Therefore, for some time, only one lane out of three was kept for vehicles coming from that side. After this, the crashed car was removed with the help of JCB.
