Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani warned during a phone call with British Foreign Secretary David Cameron of the consequences of the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip on the world order and the security of the region, especially with the targeting of defenseless civilians.
During the call, Al Sudani considered that this ongoing aggression constitutes a flagrant violation of all international and humanitarian laws, stressing that the major powers now face a moral and legal responsibility to prevent the continuation of systematic killing.
He affirmed that the permanent members of the UN Security Council (UNSC) should have supported the call for a ceasefire submitted by the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to the UNSC.
During the call, the two sides also discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them, and reviewed the security and political situations in the region.
