A case has been registered in Rajapur police station in this case. According to more information given by the police, a domestic dispute started between Balkrishna Atmaram Rane (age 72) and his brother Shantaram Atmaram Rane (56) of Kazirda Ranewadi on Friday around 3.30 pm. The dispute reached such a climax that Balkrishna Rane, in his rage, tried to kill his Sakhkhya brother by stabbing him twice on the stomach with a sharp weapon like a suri. Shantaram Rane was seriously injured in this. After that he was brought to the rural hospital in Raipatan for treatment. But considering his delicate condition, he was shifted to Ratnagiri for further treatment. From there he has been shifted to Kolhapur. Police informed that more treatment is going on in CPR hospital in Kolhapur.
