ICRC official praises Saudi Arabia’s support for Gaza

RIYADH β€” The head of the regional mission of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for the Gulf Cooperation Council countries (GCC), Mamadou Sow, appreciated the support of Saudi Arabia, represented by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief)for the Palestinian people to alleviate their suffering due to the current humanitarian crisis.

He also expresses his deep thanks for the Saudi support provided to the Red Cross Committee, which contributed to carrying out its duties toward those affected in the Gaza Strip.

The comments came during the signing of a cooperation agreement by the International Committee of the Red Cross in Riyadh with KSrelief in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday.

Sow explained that the MoU is an important step toward alleviating the deep suffering of the people of Gaza. He pointed out that these generous donations, estimated at $10 million, will greatly help in meeting the vital needs of the people of Gaza, stressing that this aid will reach those who are most in need of it in the Gaza Strip.

He praised the generous donation provided by Saudi Arabia through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, indicating that this is an important symbol of global and humanitarian solidarity.
