Sharad Pawar also said, “I give you my word, give the state in your hands once, then the face of Maharashtra will not change”. I managed the agriculture department in the country for 10 years. When I got the job of agriculture department, the first thing that came to me was to import wheat from America. Bring rice from abroad. I was sad at that time. I was born in a farmer family. Parents do agriculture. This country is the country of Baliraja and even then grains like wheat and rice were imported from abroad. We were not satisfied with this. So I accepted this challenge. The price of wheat and rice increased. I worked in this department for 10 years and left the department in 2014. At that time I am proud to say that India became the world’s number two exporter of wheat in 10 years. Sharad Pawar also said that he waived the loans of all the farmers of the country to the tune of Rs 71 thousand crores while he was the Agriculture Minister.
