Election Commission officials have checked Uddhav Thackeray’s bag for two consecutive days. First at Wani, then today at Ausa, their helicopter was cleared. So now there have been rounds of accusations and counter-accusations on this issue. Similarly, Uddhav Thackeray has once again targeted Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on this issue.
Uddhav Thackeray’s public meeting was organized at Barshi today. Speaking in this meeting, he severely criticized the grand alliance with the BJP. “Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis have ordered the system to check my bag. They have put me on autochecking. I even say that Mindheni should take my bag and walk with me every day. Only they should do one. They should not steal my clothes from the bag like my party did. After all, a thief is a thief, once you get into the habit of stealing, life goes on stealing”, he quipped. “No problem checking the bag, both my mind and the bag are clean. I don’t mind checking my bag. But are Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis, Narendra Modi being checked the way my bag is checked? I asked the officials today how many people’s bags they have checked so far, at that time they said yours is the first bag checked. This means I was the first customer”, he also commented.
Meanwhile, after the meeting in Ausa, Uddhav Thackeray was going towards Solapur. However, as Prime Minister Modi was coming to Solapur, his helicopter was not given permission to fly. Uddhav Thackeray criticized this too. “I was on my way to come here from Ausa. Boarded the helicopter, but the helicopter was not ready to fly. When I asked the reason, he said that PM Modi is coming to Solapur and we cannot fly until he reaches. What kind of despotism is this? This is a mockery of democracy. The law I have should be applicable to them too”, he said.
