A house was gutted in a sudden fire at Dandanagari in Mandangad taluka on Wednesday. In this, food grains, money, ornaments, clothes in the house fell in the fire, causing great loss. As soon as the news of the fire was heard, the villagers of the area rushed to control the fire. But by that time, the wooden roof of the house and all the materials kept on the terrace were burnt. Fortunately, as the family at home was in Mumbai for work, a major disaster was averted.
Paresh Dhondu Shelke from Dandanagari and his family were in Mumbai for work and this house was closed. Suddenly flames started coming out of the house. In no time, the entire house was engulfed in flames, with the wooden roof of the house on fire. Locals as well as villagers from Kondgaon Mohalla immediately rushed to the spot. Also tried to control the fire. But by that time, the roof of the house and the grain, clothes, jewelery and money kept on the terrace were burnt. Only the walls of the house remain.
