*Sindhudurgnagari, D-16:-* I am 86 years old and on the polling day I had difficulty in going to the polling station and casting my vote. Shakuntala Sitaram Samant, an 86-year-old voter from Kudal assembly constituency, has expressed his opinion that since the Election Commission has provided the facility of home voting, senior citizens like us can vote at home. The home polling team went to Shakuntala Samant’s residence in Zarap and completed the voting process. Collector Anil Patil was also present on this occasion. Voters with disabilities and above 85 years of age from Zarap had filled and submitted form ’12 d’ to vote through home visits. On this occasion, senior voter Shakuntala Samant (age 86) and disabled voter Sahdev Govind Bidiye exercised their right to vote through home visits at Zarap in Kudal taluka of Sindhudurg district. On this occasion, Sub-Inspector Prakash Patade, Polling Officer Vikas Kumhar, Shailesh Mulik, Police Smt. Fernandes were present in the polling team.
