Home Guard Recruitment for 306 Vacancies in District

*Oros, D-22:-* Home guard recruitment process has started in the district and as many as 306 posts are going to be filled for police force. About 1200 candidates from the district have applied for this. This includes 301 women candidates. The field test process of the candidates in this recruitment process has been completed. Eligible candidates will be given appointment letters after document verification. The government has taken up the Home Guard recruitment process. According to this, applications were invited from the candidates for the vacant posts out of 700 sanctioned posts in Sindhudurg district under the supervision of Additional District Superintendent of Police and Home Guard District Commissioner Krishikesh Rawale. Around 1200 candidates from the district had applied for this. Similar to police recruitment except for the written test, the chest, height, weight etc. of these candidates are measured. Also outdoor events like 1600m run for men, 800m run for women, shot put etc
A test is conducted. The process was carried out at Sindhudurgnagari from 19th to 21st August. Objections have been invited from the eligible candidates on 22nd, after which the documents will be verified and the final selection list will be announced soon. Women candidates will get opportunity for 33 percent of the total posts. Home guards are appointed by the police for security on the occasion of elections and festivals etc. At present around 1200 policemen are working in the district and the recruitment of new home guards will help to increase the strength of the police force. After appointment these candidates will be given 35 days district level training. In this, things like drill, weapon handling, team work, communication skills etc. will be taught. Besides, some will be trained in Mumbai for office related work. Five percent in regular police recruitment to a candidate who has rendered good service for three years as Home Guard
