*Vaibhavwadi, D-26:-* Three days ago, the cloudburst in Bhuibawda Ghat has left the people of the Ghats unharmed. The road was opened for light vehicles by removing the cracks and mud from the ghat by the Public Works Department. However, due to the deplorable condition of the ghat and the collapse of the road, heavy traffic including ST buses from the ghat has been completely stopped from 24th to 29th September till 12 o’clock in the night. The District Collector has given such orders. As Karul Ghat is also closed, the traffic in this ghat has been diverted through Fonda Ghat. Due to continuous rains for the last three days, part of the road surface on the side of the guard wall has been completely washed away along with the soil fill underneath, resulting in a major rut on the road. Out of the two rows of pipes at the Moors, one of the rows has broken and washed away in some areas and the headwall has fallen completely. It is still raining in this area and the flow of water is going over the road. A large pile of stone and soil has accumulated on the upper side of the moor. The road surface is about 2.70 m. Due to the existence of such a width, the passage of large vehicles through this area is likely to cause accidents. Therefore, at present it is requested to allow only light passenger traffic from this area (through Ghatar Street) and divert other traffic through Fondaghat or Anuskura Ghat. The traffic of heavy vehicles from Bhuibawda Ghatra Road will be closed from 8 pm on 24th September to 12 pm on 29th September. The District Collector has ordered that the traffic of light vehicles will continue on the said route by issuing orders to close it for all types of heavy and heavy traffic.
