*Dodamarg, D-30:-* Village sevaks in taluka are not working as per Govt. GR. Gram sevaks are refusing to sign the application for re-examination of building construction workers. Jennifer Lobo and Deepak Jadhav, director members of Construction Workers Welfare Association, Sindhudurg, have warned the Dodamarg Group Development Officers through a statement that if this is stopped immediately and action is not taken as per the GR of the government, they will take the workers and protest. In his statement he said, all Gram Sevaks / Village Development Officers are directed to take necessary action positively as per GR dated February 5, 2024.
Give them. District Labor Office, Sindhudurg should be informed about doing so. Also, if any complaints arise, those complaints should be settled at the group level. As per Rule 33(3) of Maharashtra Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Service Condition) Rules, 2007, by 13th August, 2014, a certificate of 900 days of work as a construction worker should be given for the registration of construction workers of Gram Panchayat through the concerned Gram Sevaks. While issuing this certificate, a sample of official proof of residence and official photo ID of the worker should be taken along with the application form and a certificate of 90 days of work should be given as per the attached sample. While this is the case, gram sevaks do not obey the government decision and do not follow the government code of conduct. This is an insult to the government as well as the law. What does it mean to reject the work of the government by taking the payment of your work from the government? Workers are expected to get the answer. Gram sevaks are bound to sign unless the government orders them not to sign. Therefore, a joint meeting of the village sevak and the office bearers of the labor union should be called in the next two days and a solution should be found. Otherwise, Lobon and Jadhav have warned group development officer Ajinkya Sawant through a statement that they will have to take the workers with them and protest on the streets.
