Good news for students! The tension will be removed, the pattern of the 10th-12th board exam will change!

The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has prepared a syllabus for the students of Class III to Class 12, so that the stress of examination does not remain on the students and the study craze is stopped. The plan and draft were made available online for citizens and objections were invited till June 3. Now that scheme has been finalized and it has given maximum emphasis on ability based questions in the exam. Initially it will be applicable for class 9th to 11th and thereafter also for class 10th – 12th.*Students will be given logical thinking education based on human values, life skills and ethics to meet the challenges of a changing world. The examinations from 3rd to 12th will be held in two sessions. Health, arts and vocational education are emphasized in the new plan. Rather than book knowledge, the purpose behind it is knowledge creation and knowledge enhancement through action. Vocational education will be provided from class III, vocational skills for class III to VIII and special vocational education from class IX. Artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, agriculture will be innovative subjects under professional education. From the next academic year, the scheme will be applicable for classes other than 10th-12th. According to the new plan, the pattern of the 10th-12th board examination will change, senior officials of the board said while talking to ‘Sakal’. *-Anuradha Oak, Secretary, Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education **Board Exams Now Aptitude Based Questions* Now as per the new National Education Policy, Class 10th-12th board exams will have maximum aptitude based questions. How much students understand a subject, whether they are using that knowledge in real life, this ability is going to be verified. This change in examination pattern is expected after 2025-26.
