Village: Keeping in mind the huge rush of tourists visiting Goa to welcome Christmas and New Year, apart from regular trains, winter special trains are also running on the Konkan route. New Year celebrations have started, hence all the trains going to Goa are running at full speed. Additional coaches are being added to express trains by the railway administration.
New Year is just 5 days away and tourists are planning to welcome the New Year and are heading to Goa from now on. For the Christmas holidays, the Railway Administration has removed the obstacles coming in the way of tourists by running Highwali Special on the Konkan route. Due to Christmas holidays all winter special trains along with regular trains are overcrowded. After this, with the increase in the number of tourists visiting Goa to welcome the New Year, it is time for tourists to travel late to reach Goa.
Keeping in mind the rush season, as soon as the Railway Administration announced winter special trains, within a few minutes the reservation of all the trains became housefull. Hiwali special trains have removed the obstacles in the way of tourists. Tourists have also got relief from Udhna Mangalore Hiwali Special running till Dimati via Vasai. Adding additional coaches to express trains is helping in reducing crowding.
