Former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh was seriously injured when unknown persons pelted stones at his car.

Former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, who was returning from the final meeting at Nagpur Narkhed, was pelted with stones by unknown persons. The windows of the car were broken and Deshmukh got serious injuries on his head. While he was returning to Katol from Tinkheda Bishnur road, some persons threw stones at his car near Belphata on Jalalkheda Road, Katol. Meanwhile, Deshmukh cast doubt on Bharatiya Janata Party workers. Injured Anil Deshmukh alleged that this stone pelting was done by BJP workers. BJP leaders have termed this as a sympathy stunt. Also, refuting the allegation, it has demanded a police inquiry into the incident.
