Konkan Marathi Literary Council and Mauritius Marathi Mandal Federation, Mauritius Marathi Cultural Center Trust, Marathi Speaking Union working under the Ministry of Arts and Cultural Heritage, Government of Mauritius, in association with the Marathi Sahitya Parishad, in conjunction with the Marathi Sahitya Samelan scheduled on 2nd and 3rd December, 2023 in Mauritius for financial support of 1.5 crores. According to the government decision, the organization Konkan Marathi Sahitya Parishad, Ratnagiri has been given Rs. 1.50 crore has been approved by the government to make funds available through the State Marathi Development Corporation as a special matter.
But already in the state, due to the growing trend of children and their parents towards English medium and other reasons, Marathi is being choked, so it is necessary to hold maximum meetings so that the people of the state can get a taste of Marathi.
The importance of our mother tongue at the international level must be proven, but before that, it is necessary to develop and expand the language where it was born. But the question is how many people will get literary benefit by holding the conference directly abroad.
