Sawantwadi, Dt-07:– Through All India Local Self-Government Institute, Diploma in Sanitation Inspector and Fireman Training Course is being implemented in 48 Divisional Offices in India. Admissions are open for Local Self Government Diploma (LSGD) courses as a preliminary course before being recruited in various departments in Municipal Corporations and Municipalities, Nagar Panchayats. This course is approved by Urban Development Department, Government of Maharashtra. The course is compulsory for municipal and municipal officials and employees for promotion. For this purpose, the admission will be given to the officers and employees working in Municipal Corporation, Municipality, Nagar Panchayat on priority basis. Scholarship concessions are applicable to Scheduled Caste and Tribe students as per government rules. Students passed from Kolhapur Divisional Center are employed in various Municipal Corporations, Pune, Mumbai, Railways, Sugar Factories etc. are working in place. Municipalities and Municipal Corporations have approved the fireman course as per the revised recruitment policy.
