Fire breaks out at Vaishno Logistics Park warehouse in Chirle

Uran 15 (Vitthal Mamtabade): On Monday (January 15), a major fire broke out at Vaishno Logistic Park, a warehouse handling goods in Jasai and Chirle Gram Panchayat limits, around 9-30 am. It is clear that the fire started due to illegal storage of highly flammable chemicals in the godown and the fire brigade personnel have tried their best to control the fire.

It has been reported from the workers that the workers in the warehouse escaped the fire. There are important projects of central and state government in Uranam taluka. It shows that the construction of a warehouse for handling goods based on JNPA port is being done in violation of government regulations. Due to this, there are frequent incidents of fire in the said warehouse that handles goods from within the country and abroad.

Two years ago, there was an explosion and fire in a warehouse handling goods and chemicals at Vaishno Logistics Park in Jasai and Chirle Gram Panchayat limits. The workers in the warehouse had to lose their lives. The initiative was taken to cover up.

Vaishno Logistics Park, which was playing with the lives of the same workers and residents, once again caught fire at around 9-30 am on the day of Makar Sankranti on Monday. Firefighters have rushed to the spot and tried their best to control the fire.

On the whole, due to frequent incidents of fire in the warehouse handling the goods of Vaishno Logistic Park, there has been a wave of anger among the residents of Jasai Chirle Gram Panchayat. Social activist Nilakant Gharat has demanded a high-level inquiry into the incident and action should be taken against the warehouse owner and the related contractor.
