Sawantwadi, Date – 31:- On June 16, 2024, Sawantwadi Taluk Pramukh Sushil Chowgule submitted an application to Sawantwadi Forest Department under Right to Information Act 2005. After 30 days, the Forest Department Sawantwadi Information Officer did not provide the information, so the first appeal was filed with the Forest Department for hearing on August 28, 2024. When Sunil Chowgule went to the office of Sawantwadi Forest Department at 12:30 in the afternoon, the first appellate officer was not present. While waiting for the concerned officers till 1 o’clock and also inspecting the office, it was noticed that the simple right to information board has not been put up by the concerned office. When the Public Information Officers were questioned, it was found that they had no knowledge of the relevant law and also that the concerned officer staff did not understand the first appeal process. In this regard, when the Sawantwadi Conservator of Forests was given an oral idea, it was pointed out that such a senior level officer is supporting his staff officers. Sawantwadi taluka head Sushil Chowgule will complain to the State Information Commission Konkan bench against these officers who are trampling the law for the rights of the common people. has been informed.
