Ratnagiri, Dt. 11 (Jimaka): Except for the vehicle carrying Ganesha idol at Mandvi Beach Immersion and the vehicles accompanying the musical instruments for Ganapati immersion and the road leading from Bhatye Bus Stop to Bhatye Beach, all types of two wheelers, three wheelers, four wheelers other than the vehicle carrying Ganapati for Ganapati immersion. Additional District Magistrate Chandrakant Suryavanshi has ordered closure of entry on 12th September for Gauri Ganapati immersion and 17th September for Anant Chaturdarshi Ganapati immersion. Visarjan, and on the day of Anant Chaturdarshi Ganapati Visarjan on 17th September between Bhute Naka and Mandvi Beach, all types of two-wheelers, three-wheelers and four-wheelers are prohibited from entering the Mandvi beach immersion site except for vehicles carrying Ganesha idols and musical instruments accompanying Ganapati immersion. Orders have been issued that the road leading from Bhatye Bus Stop to Bhatye Beach is closed to all types of two-wheeled, three-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles except for the vehicle carrying Ganpati for Ganpati immersion. The order also said that proper planning should be done to avoid traffic jams and any untoward incident. In order to inform the public about the traffic regulation, the police department has to take action to erect traffic signs as per Section 116 of the Motor Vehicle Act 1988.
