Electricity workers died due to shock while connecting electric wires.

Subodh Ravindra Salvi, an employee of the Mahadistribution office at Malgund in Ratnagiri taluk, died of severe shock on his left hand when an electric wire fell to the ground at Varavade Kumbharwada on Tuesday. Salvi was working as an electrical lineman in the Mahavitaran office at Malgund for the last 10 years. He had gone to Varavade Kumbharwada on Tuesday 17th September around eleven o’clock in the morning to connect the electric wire lying on the ground on the electric pole. At this time, while doing the work of connecting the line of the electric wire lying on the ground on the electric pole, his left hand got a big shock. When the local villagers who were nearby saw this, they immediately rushed to the place and tried to save Subodh. However, as soon as it was noticed that he was in an unconscious state, he was immediately taken to the Primary Health Center in Khandala by a private vehicle. At this point he did not respond to treatment.
