Egyptian PM meets Saudi ministers of finance, commerce and investment

RIYADH — The visiting Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly held separate talks with Saudi Finance Minister Mohammed Al-Jadaan, Commerce Minister Dr. Majed Al-Qasabi and Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid Al-Falih in Riyadh on Sunday.

During their meeting, Madbouly and Al-Jadaan exchanged friendly talks. They discussed topics of common interest. The meeting was attended from the Egyptian side by Minister of Finance Ahmed Kujuk, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Eng. Hassan Al-Khatib, First Assistant to the Prime Minister Eng. Randa Al-Menshawy, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers Osama Saad, Egyptian Ambassador to the Kingdom Ahmed Farouk, Advisor to Prime Minister Hani Younes, and the Official Spokesperson for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Mohammed Al-Homsani. On the Saudi side, Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Saleh bin Eid Al-Hussaini, and a number of officials from the Ministry of Finance attended the meeting.

Madbouly received the Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Foreign Trade Dr. Majed Al-Qasabi. During the meeting, friendly talks were exchanged and topics of common interest were discussed. The qualitative partnership between the two countries in the fields of trade and investment and enhancing the role of the private sector in various sectors to achieve the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 were figured highly in their talks.

During their meeting, Madbouly and Al-Falih exchanged cordial talks. They discussed topics of mutual concern in the investment field, as well as cooperation to develop Saudi-Egyptian investment relations, and ways to support and stimulate the private sector in both countries. They also reviewed the progress of discussions on the agreement to protect and encourage mutual investments between Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
