* Kankavali, 19:-* A large python found on Sunday evening near the Ganesha idol school of sculptor Shashikant Satwase in Nagve was caught by snake friends Yash Vardam and Audumbar Patil and released in its natural habitat. On Sunday evening, cleaning work was going on near the Ganesha idol school of sculptor Shashikant Satavase. On Sunday around 5.30 pm, a 7-8 feet big python was noticed by Sagar Vardam. At this time, snake charmers Yash Vardam and Audumbar Patil were called to catch the said python. As it was getting dark till Sarpamitra came, it was difficult to catch the python. However, they caught the python with great enthusiasm and released it in its natural habitat. At this time, the villagers had gathered in a big crowd to see the pythons. Sarpamitra is being appreciated by the attendees.
A snake is a farmer’s friend. It protects the crop from rodents and insects. But due to many misconceptions about snakes in rural areas, snakes are killed as soon as they are seen. But instead of doing so, he appealed that they should be released in their natural habitat with the help of Sarpamitra.
