Deshi cow declared as ‘State Mother Cow’

Lanja: The state government has taken an important decision to declare indigenous cows as ‘Rajya Mata Go Mata’. These orders have been issued by Animal Husbandry, Dairying, Agriculture Division today on Monday.
The decision to declare cows as state mothers has been welcomed by farmers and cow shala parents.

Desi cows have unique importance in our life. Domestic cow’s milk is of great importance in human diet. It is a complete food. Cow urine, dung are in demand for organic farming. Cow urine is used in Ayurveda treatment. Considering the constitutional number of indigenous cows, various cow school parents, farmers demanded the protection of indigenous cows. Considering the importance of country cows since Vedic times, usefulness of milk in human diet, Ayurveda treatment methods, use of cow urine, dung etc. for agriculture, the state government has declared country cows as state mothers.

Nanda Birje of Lanja Kherwase has welcomed the decision to declare cows as Gomata. He said that it is a decision that gives energy to Gopalan workers.
