RIYADH — Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman decorated the newly appointed and promoted senior officials of the ministry with their new military ranks during a reception held at his office in Riyadh. This follows the recent royal orders, issued by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, regarding promotion and appointment of these senior officials to their new military positions.
These officials included Commander of the Joint Forces Lt. Gen. Fahd Al-Salman; Deputy Chief of the General Staff Lt. Gen. Fahd Al-Ghufaili; Advisor to the Office of the Minister of Defense Lt. Gen. Fahd Al-Mutair; Chief of Staff of the Land Forces Lt. Gen. Fahd Al-Johni, and Chief of Staff of the Naval Forces Lt. Gen. Mohammed Al-Gharibi.
Speaking on the occasion, Prince Khalid asked God Almighty to grant them success in serving their religion and country. On their part, the commanders expressed their thanks and appreciation of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman for the royal trust reposed on them. They also expressed their thanks to Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman, asking God Almighty to grant them success to live up to the leadership’s expectations.
The ceremony was also attended by Chief of the General Staff Gen. Fayyadh Al-Ruwaili; Advisor to the Royal Court Lt. Gen. Mutlaq Al-Azima; Assistant Minister of Defense Eng. Talal Al-Otaibi; Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs Dr. Khalid Al-Bayari; Advisor to the Ministry of Defense Dr. Samir Al-Tabib; and Director General of the Office of the Minister of Defense Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif.
