Farmers are facing many problems online to buy rice with government guarantee. Basic Price Paddy Purchase Scheme 2023-24 When Tehsildar Shridhar Patil drew attention to the difficulty in registration and purchase of farmers, half of the farmers who were registered in the previous year were deprived of the guaranteed price due to their finger on the rules. Farmers have expressed strong displeasure because of having to stay.
A delegation met Tehsildar Sridhar Patil at the initiative of Pramod Gawde, President of Sawantwadi Taluka Cooperative Buying and Selling Union. Shiv Sena District Chief Ashok Dalvi, BJP Mandal President Ravindra Madgaonkar, Former Chairman Pramod Sawant, Former Deputy Chairman Vinayak Dalvi, Maruti Gavas, Expert Director of Purchase and Sale Union Abhimanyu Londhe, Manager Mahesh Parab, Gajanan Natekar, Prakash Dhuri and farmers were present.
A statement has been given to Tehsildar Sridhar Patil. It is said that farmers have benefited a lot due to the good guarantee price received under the guarantee scheme of the central government. But for the last 2 years due to onerous conditions of e-Peak registration, the said purchase is facing a lot of difficulties. Frequent correspondence has to be made regarding the difficulties in purchasing and registering the said EPIC. Today 7/12 of e-crop registrations are not available to farmers. Therefore, private traders are buying the paddy of farmers in poor conditions at a low price. Due to non-compulsory implementation of e-crop payment registration at the village level and farmers being busy with work, the farmers could not register the Kharif season crop. At present, farmers cannot register paddy as Kharif season is not recorded. Since many farmers are deprived of this scheme, arrangements should be made to give the e-crop record of the said Kharif season through offline mode. 1600 farmers were registered by the association last year. But this year so far 850 farmers have been registered. Remaining 750 farmers are yet to be registered due to non-sowing of kharif crop. However, it has been demanded that proper action should be taken at our level and justice should be given to the deprived farmers.
This year, server down, unseasonal rains, no registration in Talathi office, so farmers will be deprived. It was demanded that justice should be brought to those who were trying to register but were not registered.
Tehsildar Sridhar Patil said that if there is evidence that e-registrants tried but failed to register, efforts will be made to provide opportunities to those who registered for selling rice last year. This delegation demanded.
