Citizens should participate in ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ Seaside Cleanliness Initiative. – District Magistrate M Devender Singh. Ratnagiri, Dt. 19 (Jimaka): On the occasion of Swachhta Hi Seva 2024 campaign, Seaside Cleanliness initiative will be implemented everywhere in the district. Under this, the sea shores of five talukas of the district will be cleaned on Saturday, September 21. A cleanliness drive will be conducted at Bhatye beach in Ratnagiri taluka at 6.30 am. Collector M Devender Singh has appealed to citizens to participate in this activity.

A meeting was held today in the hall of the Collectorate regarding the campaign ‘Swachta Hi Seva 2024’. Chief Executive Officer Kirti Kiran Pujar, Additional Collector Shankar Berge, Resident Deputy Collector Chandrakant Suryavanshi, Additional Chief Executive Officer Parikshit Yadav, Gram Panchayat Deputy Chief Executive Officer Rahul Desai, District Planning Officer Satyavinayak Mule etc were present in the meeting. Collector Mr.Singh said, all officers and employees should participate in this campaign of cleanliness. Local citizens should also participate in this. Municipal council should form sanitation teams. Also employees should clean their offices. Schools, Anganwadis, markets, beaches, colleges etc should be cleaned in this. Officials of various departments were present in this meeting.
