*Savantwadi, D-21:-* Former Mayor Baban Salgaonkar has suggested that the name of Sawantwadi Upazila Hospital should be changed to Primary Health Center. A woman was admitted to a government hospital in Sawantwadi for treatment of snakebite. The woman was sent to the district hospital from this hospital. Many poor patients from rural areas come to Sawantwadi Hospital. It’s a shame they can’t even get simple treatment. Unsanitary here, no good doctors here. Doctors who are understaffed have to work. Relatives of patients have to bring all medicines from outside. Why do we need hospitals where we cannot get treatment? Salgaonkar made such a move.
