*Sawantwadi, D-21:-* Milagris High School is the biggest school in Sawantwadi city and the timing of this school has been changed from 9 to 2.30 from this year. The timing of all the schools in the state has been changed. We are from this area and we have idea about parent students and educational institution of this area and Sawantwadi city. About 2.5 to 2000 students are studying in this school. Also, students are coming here for education from Sawantwadi city and surrounding area of five to ten kilometers. Previously this school time was 7.55. It was 1.30 and it was the right time. Now that the school timings have been changed, students and parents need time to go to their respective residences from three to four in the afternoon. Therefore, students and parents are suffering physical and mental harm due to the change of time. Also the lunch time of the students has changed. It is affecting the mentality. Therefore, the school timings are changed to 8:30 am to 1:30 am as per the criteria given by the government, according to the convenience of the students, parents, teachers and citizens here. Or it must be done between 8.30 am and 2 pm. So that it will be convenient for students, parents, teachers and everyone. However, the parents have written a written statement to the school education minister Deepak Kesarkar, school principal and education officer to change the school timing considering the overall sentiment of all our parent citizens.
