Canadian healthcare companies set to open regional offices in Saudi Arabia

RIYADH Three Canadian healthcare companies announced during the Global Health Exhibition that they have begun procedures to open regional offices in Saudi Arabia, to benefit from the great investment opportunities provided by the Saudi health sector.

This came during a forum for Canadian companies specialized in the field of health care, organized by the Federation of Saudi Chambers, with the participation of more than 26 Canadian companies. The Chairman of the Federation of Chambers, Hassan Al-Huwaizi, and the Canadian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Jean-Philippe Linteau, were present at the meeting.

Al-Huwaizi noted that the regional offices would become a platform for Saudi and Canadian businessmen to introduce and promote their activities and establish commercial partnerships.

The Canadian Ambassador pointed out the interest and desire of Canadian healthcare companies to invest in Saudi Arabia and the existing cooperation in the sector.

Chairman of the Saudi-Canadian Business Council Mohammed Al-Dulaim explained that Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 aims to transform the health sector to become more comprehensive and integrated, expecting the volume of investment opportunities in the health sector to reach SR330 billion in 2030. He called for establishing partnerships in the sector between the two countries.
