Bomb blast at Quetta railway station in Pakistan; 24 people died

Balochistan: A bomb exploded at the Quetta railway station in the Balochistan province of Pakistan this morning (November 9, 2024). 24 people died and 40 people were injured in this incident.

The video of this bomb blast has come to light. A video in this regard has been posted from Sputnik India’s X account. There is preliminary information that the attackers wanted to attack the Pakistan Army.

Baloch Liberation Army took responsibility

The Baloch Liberation Army has claimed responsibility for the bomb blast at Quetta railway station. After the bomb blast, the bomb squad and the local police team reached the spot. According to a PTI report, the Baloch Liberation Army has claimed responsibility for the incident. The blast took place in the railway booking office.

According to the officials, the platform has also crashed due to the bomb blast. The sound of this explosion was heard in different parts of the city. Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has condemned the attack. He said that common and innocent citizens were targeted. He has ordered an inquiry into the incident.

24 people died

Speaking about this attack, Sarfraz Bugti said that terrorists are targeting ordinary citizens, laborers, women and children. Bugti said that we will take strict action against the attackers. Balochistan Inspector General of Police Mauzzam Jah Ansari has said that 24 people died in the blast. According to a Reuters report, the attackers have so far targeted military personnel at the Infantry School. It is also reported that the condition of the injured is critical. A train bound for Peshawar was about to depart from the railway station when the bomb exploded at the Quetta railway station. Out of the 24 people who died in this attack, 14 are army personnel.
