Ban on more than 150 medicines commonly used for cold, fever, allergy, body pain etc.

The central government has banned 156 medicines such as antibiotics, vitamins, pain relievers, which are commonly used for colds, fevers, allergies, body aches etc. The Ministry of Health said that consuming these medicines can have adverse effects on health. These medicines include ‘Aciclofenac-50’, ‘Paracetamol-125 mg, Paracetamol 300 mg, Mefenamic Acid Paracetamol Injection, Cetirizine HCL Paracetamol HCL, Levocetirizine HCL Paracetamol, Paracetamol Chlor Pheniramine Maleate, phenyl propanolamine and camylofin dihydrochloride-25 mg are also banned. These medicines were used for hair loss, skin care, fever, body pain etc.
