Atishi took oath as Chief Minister of Delhi

New Delhi : After Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation, Atishi’s government has been formed in Delhi. Atishi has taken oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi. Deputy Governor of Delhi V.K. Saxena today administered the oath of secrecy to him as chief minister at Raj Niwas.

Atishi is considered the closest leader to Arvind Kejriwal, whom Kejriwal has confidently given the chief ministership ahead of the elections. Atishi’s cabinet consists of 5 ministers. Who has sworn in as a minister along with Atishi.

Before taking oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi, Atishi met Arvind Kejriwal along with the proposed ministers at his residence. After the meeting, Atishi and other ministers left for the ‘Raj Niwas’ along with the party’s National Organizer Arvind Kejriwal. Atishi took oath today along with other ministers at Rajnivas. 5 ministers of the cabinet have also taken oath with him. These include Saurabh Bhardwaj, Kailash Gehlot, Gopal Rai, Mukesh Ahlawat and Imran Hussain.

Before taking the oath, AAP leader Gopal Rai said that working for the people is our priority. People of Delhi have elected us to work. This change in government is due to special circumstances and we aim to clear the pending works in the remaining months.

AAP leader Dilip Pandey said that Delhi and the whole country saw how BJP misused constitutional institutions like ED, CBI and arrested Aam Aadmi Party leaders with the aim of breaking Aam Aadmi Party. After the people of Delhi rejected him thrice, the BJP decided to take revenge on him.

Atishi had won from Kalkaji assembly constituency in 2020. She was the only woman minister in Kejriwal’s cabinet. On September 17, AAP MLAs unanimously elected him for the post of Chief Minister. Arvind Kejriwal had resigned after being granted bail by the Supreme Court in the Delhi Liquor Policy case and Manish Sisodia had also said that he would not serve as Chief Minister. Therefore, Atishi has been given the post of Chief Minister.
