The Arab League discussed with the United States the developments in Libya and ways to resolve the current crisis in the country.

After the meeting, Zaki said that he had reviewed the position and constants of the Arab League, at the forefront of which preserving the unity and territorial integrity of Libya, and gave an explanation of the League’s efforts and contacts with the parties in recent months.
He stressed that the Arab League’s readiness to support the Libyans to reach appropriate solutions for them.
For his part, the US envoy reviewed his efforts to resolve the Libyan crisis, stressing his keenness to consult and coordinate with the Arab League and to hear its assessment of the efforts aimed at bringing viewpoints closer together.
