Appeal to send information about village deities in Konkan

Ratnagiri: For the Diwali special edition of Konkan Media, published from Ratnagiri for the last eight years, the topic of Konkan Village Deities has been chosen. For that, writing and painting competitions have been organized and information and pictures have been invited.
A painting competition on the theme ‘Village Deities of Konkan’ has been organized to give scope to painters and emerging painters of Konkan to write essays of up to 1000 words on various village deities of Konkan spread from Palghar to Sindhudurga. For the competition send a color picture in A four size (vertical/portrait). The purpose of this competition is to collect information about the village deities of Konkan, instead of giving details, this information should be liked by all readers due to elegant writing, to create curiosity about that village deity, that village, and to create curiosity to visit that village. The article should contain details such as name of the village and village deity, local name, taluka, district, road to the village, details of the temple, locality, major festivals, characteristics of the village deity. Cash prizes will be awarded to the best articles and pictures. Apart from this, articles, stories, poems, cartoons will also be published in the Diwali issue of Konkan Media.
