: The anti-terrorist squad of the state has raided illegal telephone exchanges in Kondhwa, Pune. This action has been taken on Thursday afternoon. A person named Naushad Ahmed Siddiqui (32) has been arrested in this case and he is a citizen of Bhiwandi. The Anti-Terrorism Squad has expressed its suspicion that this telephone exchange has been going on for the past several days and that anti-national work is being done through it. According to him, the accused Naushad Ahmed Siddiqui had come to Pune from Bhiwandi eight months ago. He lived in an apartment in Mitha Nagar area of Kondhwa area. Based on this information, these teams raided the respective apartments in Mitha Nagar area on Thursday. In this operation, the team seized 3 thousand 788 SIM cards, 9 Wi-Fi routers, 9 Wi-Fi routers, an antenna, an Irwater and a laptop along with seven SIM boxes of various companies. During this operation, the police arrested the accused Naushad and he was produced in the court on Thursday. This time the court has remanded the accused to ATS custody. Also, the ATS is investigating what was the exact purpose behind running the illegal telephone exchange. ATS has said that it has come from the preliminary investigation that the accused is not highly educated and started this telephone exchange only for money. Apart from this, the ATS team has also informed that the investigation is going on as to how the financial transaction took place from where the accused bought Simbox and more than three thousand SIM cards despite the ban. ATS has predicted that some foreign nationals may also be involved in the whole case. Importantly, this type of action has been taken across the country by the anti-terrorist squad for the past few days. A few days ago, an illegal telephone exchange was also raided in Chennai. At that time also the goods worth lakhs of rupees were seized. However, it is reported that this is the first such action to be taken in Pune.
