While the Kolkata rape and murder case is fresh, now in Mumbai too, an assistant professor has been suspended for allegedly sexually harassing a student. The incident took place at BIL Nair Charitable Hospital under Mumbai Municipal Corporation. The sexual harassment of a female student in Nair Hospital is causing outrage. The assistant professor has been suspended in the case. It has been assured that further action will be taken against the accused-suspended assistant professor after the completion of the entire investigation and receipt of the inquiry committee’s report. Even before this doctor was to be transferred, suspension action has been taken against him.
Six months ago in March, the trainee doctor was called by an assistant professor and asked about her game. Then he called her once again. When the student entered the cabin, he inappropriately touched her neck and ear. The student alleged that he did this on the pretext of checking the swollen lymph nodes in her nose. The professor asked her to remove her apron. He also commented on her lip color. The student who was frightened by this type immediately complained about it.
