An old man drowned while immersing Ganesh in the blue water of Dubi river bed.

Jaywant Sakharam More (60) of Khopi-Tambadwadi in Khed taluka drowned while immersing Ganesha in the blue waters of Dubi river bed. This incident happened around Thursday evening. The deceased Jaywant More had gone alone to the Dubi riverbed to immerse himself in the five-day Ganaraya. He did not anticipate the flow of water when he went down to doha to immerse Ganaraya. He drowned as he was swept away with the current of water. Late in the evening, the villagers informed the police after seeing his dead body. The police have registered a case of accidental death in this case
