Mumbai : Bahujan Vikas Aghadi has accused BJP national general secretary Vinod Tawde of distributing large amount of money in Nalasopara constituency.
Baviya leader Hitendra Thakur alleged that he was tipped off by his friends in the BJP that Vinod Tawde had brought Rs 5 crore. Thakur’s workers also surrounded Tawde in the hotel. This time, cash of Rs. 9 lakh was seized from a room in the hotel. A diary was also found. Bavia leader Kshitij Thakur has alleged that this diary belongs to Vinod Tawde and mentions Rs 15 crore in it.
Kshitij Thakur has alleged that money was being distributed through Vinod Tawde to help the BJP candidate against our candidate. On the other hand, Hitendra Thakur has also made serious allegations against Tawde. Hitendra Thakur claimed that Tawde called me and said, “My mistake, I’m sorry, but let me go from here.” He said that Tawde called me 25 times.
Meanwhile, βThe allegations that I distributed money are false. I came here to tell the workers what the rules of conduct are on polling day,β explained Vinod Tawde.
Press conference cancelled
Bavia leader Hitendra Thakur tried to hold a press conference along with Vinod Tawde. But the District Collector said that there is a code of conduct and he cannot take the PC, the PC was stopped.
