Amravati News : 'NIA' action in Achalpur: Student taken into custody








Amravati, Leading News Service : Two teams of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted a raid at Achalpur in the district today (18). A student has been detained by the team in this operation. The son of a teacher living in Abkari Chowk in Achalpur city has been detained for questioning. The concerned student was studying in a college in Nagpur. Preliminary information is that his house was raided and his laptop, mobile phone and other materials were seized. Amravati News

Father also insisted to come along

After the NIA team detained the suspected student from Achalpur, his father also insisted to come along. So they were also brought to Manthan Hall of Rural Police in Amravati. He is being interrogated here. It is also understood that the concerned student is connected with the controversial group through social media.

The team of 'NIA' reached Achalpur early on Monday morning. They raided a house in Akbari Chowk area under the protection of Achalpur and Sarmaraspura police. A fleet of 15 police vehicles had reached here. However, the 'NIA' has not yet given details about the raid. The local police have also maintained secrecy about this.

Amravati News Suspected of involvement in terror operation

The student was brought to Amravati after being detained from Achalpara. He is being thoroughly investigated by the NIA in Amravati under tight police arrangements. The NIA suspects that the student, who was detained by the NIA, was involved in terrorist activities. Laptop, mobile and other documents have been seized from the detained student. It is also understood that the NIA has started this operation by deploying Achalpur, Paratwada and Samaraspura police in the middle of the night.
