ALULA — The ongoing AlUla Falcon Cup championship, taking place in Al-Mughira Village for Heritage Sports in AlUla governorate since December 28, and continuing until January 5, has emerged as the world’s largest event of its kind.
Featuring the participation of a diverse array of local, regional, and international professional falconers and owners, this championship is a testament to the Kingdom’s dedication to falcons and falconry.
The event, organized in collaboration between the Saudi Falcons Club and the Royal Commission for AlUla, solidifies Saudi Arabia’s esteemed global status as a foremost destination for falcons and falconers.
Drawing significant interest from falconry enthusiasts and visitors from both within the Kingdom and beyond, the cup aligns with the Saudi Falcon Club’s commitment to safeguarding the nation’s rich cultural and civilizational heritage, in line with the objectives outlined in Saudi Vision 2030.
With prizes totaling SR60 million, the championship unfolds across four tracks encompassing the Al-Malwah and Al-Mazayen competitions, featuring various categories tailored for the participating falcons. — SPA
