The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) had repeatedly told the BJP leaders that Ajitdad’s ‘entry’ in the Grand Alliance was the reason for the failure of the BJP in Maharashtra in the Lok Sabha elections. Also, RSS had advised that Ajit Dada should leave the association. Amit Shah, who came to Maharashtra, guided the BJP workers in Nagpur and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. At that time, Amit Shah clarified that Ajit Dada’s NCP will remain in the Grand Alliance. “Ajitdada’s Nationalist Party will remain in the Grand Alliance. All the three parties will contest the assembly elections together,” said Amit Shah.
